BTA Amended Policy Statement ‘Diagnosis and Management of Primary Hypothyroidism’

For those readers who have not yet read the British Thyroid Association’s amended statement on the topic of the Diagnosing and Management of Primary Hypothyroidism, here is a link.  You may also wish to read the statement in the British Thyroid Foundation Newsletter

Nothing changes. This statement is worse than their original and patients who do not suffer with primary hypothyroidism (defined as a deficiency in secretion by the thyroid gland) are likely to continue to suffer unnecessarily – and badly.
