Once your samples have been completed and sent to Genova, then in order for us to forward your results, you MUST contact TPA ([email protected]) giving the following information:
•Full name (as per on the Genova requisition form)
•The unique ‘Username’ you use on the TPA online forum.
•Date of Birth
•Test(s) that has/have been run.
•Email address where results should be sent to.
IMPORTANT: When you use the unique Genova/TPA account number to order tests, you are giving your consent for TPA to handle your results.
TPA staff / volunteers are not qualified to interpret test results for you.
If your GP or Endocrinologist refuses to acknowledge results from Genova Diagnostics, please refer them to this letter .
If you are chasing up Genova results (please note that some tests can take three weeks) then contact TPA first of all. Please DO NOT contact Genova until you have checked with TPA first.
*If you work difficult hours or you wake early, then take your first sample when you wake up and the other tests the same number of hours after the previous test so long as you let Genova Diagnostics know when you return your samples.
Do not take anything (such as sucking a lemon) to stimulate saliva – that will invalidate the test completely. If you place your index finger and thumb directly under your chin either side of your larynx you will feel two obvious lumps (these are your salivary glands) – massage them gently whilst trying to produce saliva. It does work for a lot of people. Relax, that is the best thing and think about sucking a lemon instead of actually doing it – that can work too!
Phlebotomy Collection Service
Genova have a relationship with The London Clinic who provide a phlebotomy service in London. Phlebotomy times: 8.30am – 7.00pm Monday Thursday, 8.30am – 11.00am Friday (excluding public holidays).
It is not necessary to book an appointment, but please ensure you take the Genova test kit(s) to the Clinic, and that all paperwork is completed, including payment details. The Clinic will arrange for the samples to be returned to the laboratory.
There is a fee for this service which includes returning the samples to Genova Diagnostics. Please contact the London Clinic for details.
BLUE HORIZON MEDICALS
Blue Horizon Medicals make a regular monthly donation to TPA and have reduced prices for most of their tests. They offer a large range of tests on their website.
Blue Horizon Nurse home visit for blood tests
Blue Horizon now offer a home nurse visit to take blood for their blood tests for £45. You pay for the blood tests that you want and add £45 for a nurse visit. Full details are on the Blue Horizon website.
